i think this is the one and only times I went to a gig with Dad. We went with a couple of Dad's friends he worked with.

I wasnt old enough to buy alcohol at the time but I remember Dad not wanting to leave me out, we went to Sainsburys before catching the train into London and bought some 'Tinnies', Stella Pint cans, 6 of them. I remember Dad saying we wouldnt get through 3 each on a 50 minute train journey into London, but we did, and we were both a bit sloshed by the time we got to Victoria!

We had some dinner, went into a pub, and then went onto Brixton Academy for the gig. We were in the stalls, seated area but we were standing most the evening. Dad usually being quite reserved and sensible, was so relaxed this evening, almost as if going back to his youth, had a blast of a time! He was even up on feet dancing (and spilling most of his pint). 

We even managed to miss the last train home, which tells you how much fun we were having! In the end we ended getting a cab home from London, at one point me asking the driver to pull over onto the hard shoulder so I could be sick!
